Avoid! Truly awful service. Following a family bereavement, we called "Quality Clearances" for a price for clearing a one bedroom flat that needed furniture and rubbish removing. We were quoted a fixed price. When they came round to start to job, he stared complaining immediately. "Too heavy", "too much stuff", "nothing i can sell here". With time running out to clear the property we reluctantly agreed to 66% increase in cost on the original "fixed" quote.
We left them to it for a couple of hours and they called to say the job was done and they had filled the van with as much as they could take. Paid them cash and he left. Went in to the flat and they had left most of the cupboards full, still some items left lying around. They had made sure they had taken anything of value and left rubbish behind.
Called him to come back and finish the job - he became instantly irate and demanded more money to come back and do the job originally quoted for and kept hanging up the phone when we called back and becoming more and more abusive. We refused to pay them even more money. We ended up getting another professional company in to do the job properly - luckily they managed to fit us in after hearing what a bad experience we had had with the other "company".
This outfit's website also state they are a LTD company (they arn't registered with companies house) and a registered waste carrier with the environment agency (a lookup show this also not to be true).
Avoid at all costs!
