AVOID. THEY DON'T RETURN CALLS WHEN YOUR WANTING TO PLACE AN ORDER FOR A NEW CAR. ALWAYS IN MEETINGS THAT INVOLVE GOLF SWINGS IN GLASS OFFICES WHICH ARE NOT CAR RELATED!! GAVE MY ORDER TO OTHER DEALER THAT WANTED IT...WHY CHASE THEM TO GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. SERVICE IS A RIP OFF AND WANTED TO CHARGE FOR NEW PADS THAT WERE FITTED OF IN LAWS CAR YEAR AFTER THEY DID THEM AND 200 MILES..THEN SAID THEY HAD WRONG CAR REPORT...NICE TRY A...HOLE

i found the sales side of lookers renault stockport fantastic, i test drove a couple of cars and was not at all pressurised to buy one i went away to another garage but ended up back at renault as i purchased from there before, i decided on the car i wanted and the sales man went through various ways of payment, i went away happy, collected my car the week after everything went very smoothly.
however the after care and customer service desk is appalling, you are kept on hold for ages, thats when you eventually get through and nobody ever calls you back, they definitely need more staff. very expensive too £80 per hour labour.
i will not be buying another car from lookers renault stockport, i would recommend going to another branch.

After agreeing to buy a "stock vehicle" in the store, they took a £575 deposit from me. The car was for my daughters 21st birthday and promised to be delivered in just over a week. Despite taking the deposit, they let the car go to someone else while waiting for the credit to come through. They then told us that we would need to wait for 12 weeks for a car! That's 3 months late for her 21st birthday.
The money was taken over 2 weeks ago and I am still awaiting my refund.
Disgraceful service, poor communication, almost impossible to get hold of anyone on the telephone.
We went directly to Renault Manchester, price and deal was the same and great service. Still 12 weeks for a car but at least we have dealt with decent people this time.

I would not recommend Lookers Stockport Renault because nearly a month after purchasing my car I am still waiting to receive the spare key, owners manual and service book/history. I have been completely ignored by the sales advisor, though that shouldn't come as a surprise as for both my test drive and car collection appointments I was left waiting for over an hour.
I part exchanged my car with them and after being offered nearly half the price of what they had quoted in their website, I finally agreed a price. The morning after I had left my car with them, I realised I had left my company hands-free Bluetooth device in there, amoungst a few other things. However I was told that the car was 'completely empty' just hours later, despite still being at the dealership. I guess someone wanted to make themselves a bit of money/give themselves a gift of a hands-free kit at my expense.
The customer service has been appalling from start to finish and unless you have time to try and chase them daily for a response, I wouldn't waste your time.
As I have been offered no update on when the correct documentation and spare parts will be ready, I have no choice but to take this to trading standards.
